Shapes & Forms

For the last 7 years I have been researching and working on paintings based on the concept of ‘Shapes & Forms’ which involves the interaction and communication of basic shapes with one another when composed in a space. The three artworks that I have worked on for Stallion Empowerment Initiative is based on the theme of Identity and Empowerment. The black circles in the two vertical paintings are in movement through the triangles in search of their identity. The two arches in the square painting are pushing towards the circle thereby the empowering the centre or the Bindu through which everything manifests. The three paintings (Triptych) are harmoniously related and in interaction with one another. The nuances in each of the work relate and support one another in finding its identity and thereby empowering one another.
